The Part-time Student Advisor is the first point of contact for Kaplan students and is responsible for advising, counseling, and servicing students both in person and over the phone. The Student Advisor will also contribute to the growth of Kaplan’s business through consultative sales with prospective students.
***This is a great long-term, part-time employment opportunity***
Business Strategy: Customer Service, Product Knowledge & Operational Controls
Provide excellent and enthusiastic service to students in the center and over the phone
Advise students on Kaplan’s courses and services, as well as testing and admissions timelines, and assess students’ needs to provide solutions
Use a consultative sales approach with prospective students
Conduct service calls to current students
Enter class attendance and maintain all class files
Scan tests and process results
Manage center inventory and materials ordering
Assemble class start and marketing materials
Process student enrollment transactions
Coordinate facility maintenance and manage in-center technology
Ensure center compliance with national policies and procedures
Manage the center calendar and room scheduling
Resolve student service issues while keeping best interests of Company at forefront
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Good problem solving and creative thinking skills and ability to handle numerous details
Team player with a diligent work ethic

Requirements
1+ years experience in operations, customer service, or administration
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
Ability to work extended hours, as communicated by manager, in order to meet business objectives
Must be authorized to work in the United States
